OAO "Kostromskaya TPP" is a federal power plant. Its shares are listed on the RTS Stock Exchange. The plant's installed capacity totals 3,600 MW. There are eight 300 MW generating units, and the most powerful turbine unit in Russia, Unit 9 with the capacity of 1,200 MW. Today, the electricity generated by Kostromskaya TPP is supplied to 40 regions of Russia and to the former Soviet Union Republics. The annual electric power output is about 11-12 billion TWh.
