Funny that in all the threads on SI ... none are devoted to the
Hoots, Hollers and Hype of Capitalism's grass roots: garage
tinkerers, idealistic inventors and Horatio Algers of the new
millennium.

As any entrepreneur worth his new and improved salt will tell you
... taking the road less traveled isn't without it's discouragements.
For every Jeff Bezo and Jerry Chang ... there are thousands of
wannabes with dollar signs in their eyes and damn few in their wallets!
Lives are fraught with disruptions and disasters as they grab
for the brass ring only to find it's really just a pretzel with a
new twist.

So let's do a thread that's not for the timid ... where hope and
hype rein! Where the famous and not so famous can discuss the
difficulties of assembling capital, resources, ideas, people and
marketing ... the raw materials for the classic Entrepreneur.

Hopefully this thread can be a place where buyers meet sellers for
private investments ... where scammers get flushed out and visions
are shared to mutual rewards.

Tell us about your personal experiences: funding successes and
failures, marketing your better mousetrap, finding dedicated
employees and angel investors and bedrock investments.

Human nature being what it is ... take the contacts made here and
put them under the most high powered microscope you can find ...
be the ultimate skeptic ... take your due diligence to the max!

Because in the private equity and intellectual development marketplace there is but one steadfast rule:

LET THE BUYER BEWARE!
