The SI forums on banking and financial stocks are pretty thin and disorganized. I am starting this thread in the spirit of the SI: Strictly Drilling thread to operate as a central clearing house location for the discussion of financial services stocks. This is done in the hope that SI members can concentrate and focus their discussions in the area. Proper topics are: 1. Banks of all types. 2. Brokerage firms of all types. 3. Insurance companies. 4. Federal Reserve policy. 5. The effects of the repeal of Glass-Steagal. 6. The effects of the internet on financial services. 7. The yield curve. Stock picks are definitely welcome, as are more general discussions of the state of the industry and monetary policy. And yes, the technical analyses of stocks is also welcome. ============================================================ It's "the price of money, stupid!" ;o} The Yield Curve: bloomberg.com International Rates: bloomberg.com | ||||||||||||
