With the growth of the Internet one thing is becoming painfully obvious. One of the main problems with Internet communication, especially compared to other on-line services is speed. Because the Internet is the wild and wooly frontier of communication, it lacks organization. Routing packets ans gaining server access can be a nightmare, especially at peak hours. When more and more people come on line, as is destined to happen in the near future, this problem is only going to become worse until it is nearly intolerable. Therefore, I believe one of the best possible Internet plays to invest in is ISDN companies. There are a number of interesting profiles available here of companies supplying ISDN technology already, among them Gandalf and Ascend. If anyone out there knows more about what is happening in this field than I do ( which actually isn't all that much) please respond. I believe ISDN is not only a solution for businesses, but that the day is not that far off when we will all be videoconferencing with it from our homes.
