I've noticed on many of the other political/world event threads that there tends to be "subject drift" at times and thought a new thread could handle some of that.

For instance, on the Kosovo thread the topics wander off to Africa, Taiwan, Central Asia, World War II (and WWIII), etc.

Recently there were a spate of Taiwan-related postings on one of the Kahuna threads.

So here is the catch-all, be-all world politics thread.

Let the policy here by to welcome any viewpoint, no matter how far-fetched, on any topic within "News of the World."

This includes political/economic/military/religious commentary, as well as conspiracy theories. Hopefully, participants from the above-mentioned threads and others will migrate here for some lively discourse.

So, without further ado, have at it!
