Borland loses Delphi architect to Microsoft

"Hejlsberg, one of the original employees of the company, was the architect of Borland's Pascal products. Delphi, the Pascal-based visual development tool that formed Borland's most notable success in recent years, was Hejlsberg's brainchild.

Hejlsberg follows high-profile executive Paul Gross out the door. Gross, who was Borland's vice president of research and development, was lured away by Microsoft late last month."
